That was one comment, though? And her background and the whole vulnerability isn't covered at all in the adaptation. The grisha who corrected that person was played by an actress of Indian descent and received no such racist comments, which makes it weird that one person of "Suli" descent was singled out for racism, much like how one person of Shu descent was.

I mean, that's what happens with racism, though. Not every interaction is a racist interaction. It happens sometimes.

And the secret maker says it doesn't happen because of war? It literally does commonly happen because of war. Wars almost always rely on propaganda and dehumanization of "the other" to rile people up.

No, that's not what the secret says. Racism does happen because of war, but it's not solely caused by war, which is what some people are trying to suggest to explain why Alina seems to be the main target of racism in this situation. Please read more carefully.

I mean, would you make racist comments to someone you knew to be a Grisha? I don't think so. There didn't seem to be much in the way of racism between the Grisha, probably because they're deliberately bonded to each other in an "us against the world" way.

Er, except that one of the incidents of racism was between Alina and another Grisha. Also, please consider that the Grisha aren't born from nothing - they come from families in Ravka, born ordinary children who later test positive for powers. It's a multicultural country, that, for some reason, mostly just discriminates against one person's racial heritage. You can't say that's not weird.
