175. This would be a great troll send-up of the canon-Sue craze, if it were a troll. I have a feeling it's not, though.

She isn't fighting. She is just going to GATTAI with Al's Gundam for a some Freudian symbolism and after their union awakens Hal through THE POWER OF MAGIC PARTICLE SCIENCE it is going to be all about Al fighting Hal since Hal wants her dead.

Or maybe they'll just rip-off Char's Counter-Attack some more and she'll kill Andrei and then be killed by an angry Louise. But that would be silly and melodramatic.

Considering the preview has the next episode taking place four months later and gives us a shot of angry combat-ready Marie, I don't think it'll go down quite like that.

But yeah, I can't really see them giving her that much fighting screentime. Allelujah himself barely gets any screentime anymore (it's much more important to show the Innovators and Lyle/Anew, you know), so counting on Marie to be treated as a full character rather than his accessory girlfriend-chan is a bit much to hope for.

It's not like they show the Innovators or Lyle/Anew a lot, either. It's not like they show anything enough. All of the characters are just... kinda there and without much real purpose. Between the redundant strategic statements, Marina saying "OH HOW I WISH OUR SONG COULD REACH ME", Saji being mopey, the needlessly HUGE cast being show every episode even when do pretty much nothing in every episode(like the usual shot with Kati going "KUJO" or Kataron complaining about how useless they are or Hilling and Revive teasing each other) and Ribbons' stupid exposition monologues they don't really have room for character development.

Yeah, I really hate how the episodes are just a bunch of barely related scenes that are only shown by virtue of giving the entire cast a minute or two of meaningless screentime. They need to pick a plot-line and stick with it to the end. Or at least progress each individual plot-line a little and stop with the redundant reminders.

I just had to let you know how much that cracked me up, and then I realized who you were comparing to Quess and laughed harder.
