110. I don't think he helped me realize people can be evil, but I'll admit Ali is one fucked up character.

155. I honestly have no idea how to feel about Soma/Marie. On one hand, Soma is one of my favorite girls in that show, and I love her and Sergei's relationship to death. But on the other hand, now that we know they are different personalities, I don't feel disappointed by Marie, since it's not as if Soma gave up Sergei and all that just because she magically remembered her past and her *~true love~* Allelujah, it's more of Marie taking back control of her body. And Marie isn't a fighter like Soma is. I'm not saying she can't, or that she won't, just that she seems a lot happier just chilling with Alle.

tl;dr useless post

The funny thing is, Soma used to get bashed a lot back in season 1. Somehow, when she regained her memories, people magically fell in love with the old Soma and were demanding her back.

I'm not really part of the 00 fandom, especially for season one, which I watched in a marathon the month leading up to season two. But that sucks for Soma :(

I wish when fandom gets half decent female characters they wouldn't bitch about them, and then realize their mistake when it is too late.

...I sort of envy you. You also missed the insane Louise bashing.

L-louise bashing? I should have known. When I watched those scenes, all I could think was, "I bet all the people on lj hate all the scenes with Saji and Louise".

It's a pity, they had some of the cutest moments in s1.

*blinkblink* Soma, bashed in s1? :o I only remember Louise being b*tchlapped for her "uselessness" and then Nena being hated for what she did to her...

Yea, I don't remember the bashing either. In fact, she was among the few female character that the rabid girl hating fangirls actually didn't bash and seemed to like at all together with Sumeragi and Kati.

I remember the Louise, Nena, and Marina bashing but not any significant Soma bashing...

You can just go back and take a look at the weekly reaction posts back then. They were mostly personal opinion, but it was there. Among them was the fact she:

-Was in a mobile suit.

-Had screen time with Allelujah (battle screen time).

-May end up as a possible love interest, and how dare you writers give the boys heterosexual love intersts.

-Was a cold-blooded killing machine.

-Was a hot-blooded impulsive killing machine.

-Wasn't pretty enough.

-Wasn't part of the main plot line.

I'm not saying everyone did the bashing, b there was consistency to it.
