Not for long. I mean have you seen this years Oscar ratings?

One, ratings will go up after a year where people have actually seen the movies

And two, nothing else gets ratings either

Maybe. But ratings were already in decline. And the Oscars are expensive. The people who pay for it want something in return. I think last year did only speed up things. Media, how we watch it and how it gets monetized will change. I think it's going to be interesting.

I just find it a bit funny that the supposed issues are bribery and lack of diversity, as if that doesn't describe every major awards ceremony.
