I wouldn't have minded if they'd approached it from a different way or, y'know, even hinted at something prior to Ultron (and no, some obscure shit that only a few are "genius" enough to see as a hint doesn't count... otherwise, the rest would've held up better). It's like, I see what they were trying to do, but it would've worked better with a completely different pairing, not those two.
