Okay, seriously, why do people rag so hard on this man's hair? Have you all seen Paul McGann's Doctor? Or Tom Baker? Or Colin Baker? How in the world is his hair so much worse or in more of a dire need of a haircut than any of theirs?

But McGann's hair is so pretty! *shifty eyes*

Awesomeness is still intact, just a moment of shock is all.

I don't like that it reminds me of everyone I couldn't stand in high school. But that's a personal thing. I'm fine with his age. The emo/scene kid vibe from the hair just bugs me.

See, if it was an emo/scene kid cut, I could feel you, but it's not greasy enough or badly trimmed enough with not enough random and gross hair dye to really make it seem overly emo. I think a lot of fans have been way over exaggerating in his 'emo' look. I mean, look at that picture used in this secret. How does he even remotely resemble an emo/scene kid in that picture?

I think it's the whole "fringe over eye" thing...maybe?

Well, at first I had assumed that the way he looked in the two pictures of him in front of the TARDIS was going to be his costume, which was what I had a problem with. In all of the other pictures I've seen since then, it's been fine, so it's probably just those two that bothered me.

Yeah, I can understand getting that impression from the promos, but from what I understand that was just thrown together to have for the tabloids after the announcement and we won't know what Eleven's really going to look like until filming starts.

I think that's probably the case too, now that I've been thinking about it more. They wouldn't want to give it all away at once.

I don't get it either. Have these people ever met an emo/scene kid? He's got a lot of hair, but it's definitely not an emo cut! And like you said, the Doctor has a long and sordid history of Awesome Hairstyles of Epic.

His hair's not greasy enough to be emo.
