Jim Henson brought happiness to so many people, and he was so imaginative. I only wonder what would happen if he lived.

Exactly. They are shadows of what they used to be. The Muppets used to be witty. Now they are ... shadowed by Rizzo and Gonzo 95% of the time. I understand its because that's all whose left of the original cast. But, JC, they know how the muppets are supposed to be.

Ah well. Only hoping that the Freaks and Geeks cast are creating a classic muppet movie.

But...I love Gonzo. DX But the yeah the other characters need love too.

And, yes, they are. They pleaded to Disney apparently, asking them to give them the money to create a brand new muppet movie. One like the Muppet Caper/Muppets Take Manhattan. Where they are the main characters again. And Disney liked it, thought it'd be good, so they allowed it. They're writing the script now.

OMG yay!! And yes they are a family and should be together like a family. And yay!!! *Kermit flail*

Mhm. I'm really excited for it. Because after the special this last Christmas, I felt like I was sort of enjoying the muppets 90's era again.

But, I think they can get back to the 80's muppets with a little help from them. They really are anal on making them the way they where.

I was actually thinking of making a secret about this last night. Only I don't think it needs to be a secret anymore.

On Sunday I was sitting with my fiencee and our daughter watching Muppets in Space, which I'd never seen. 10 minutes into the movie, we'd decided that that house they all live in together is what we want to have with our friends when we're all finished with school (we've technically been planning this for like... 6 years now). That's where we want to live and the kind of place we want our daughter and our friends' eventual children to always, always be able to call home.

That's sounds awesome. I hope you get that home someday.

It's true. They even admit that to each other in The Muppet Movie. They have no one else, and they have been through so much. In my opinion, there isa lot of depth to the muppets that Jim created. Actors, singers, songwriters agree - muppets are family. They teach kids that no matter who they are, where they come from, etc. that when they work together as a family, anything can happen.

Carol Burnett even said it that it's a blessed experience to be a part of a family that loves and cares about one another. Because even though they aren't real, it's our imagination and our faith that makes them real to us and allows us to cope through any situation. :)

135. This. I've actually met a geeky guy who liked to dis other geeks and act like he was better then them. He made me want to facepalm constantly. >_

I've met a number of geeks like this. I think they're just trying to overcompensate. Maybe cover up the fact they're obsessing over a science fiction show, like BSG or whatever your favorite elitist geek is obsessing over. Don't get me wrong I'm a proud geek and obsess over tons of stuff but I don't think I'm cooler then anybody else for doing it.

Whenever fans/geeks act elitist I like to think of that episode of Buffy with the little tiny fear demon. Elitist fans/geeks are like that. "Fear me!!!" Yeah no.

Your point is? If you bothered to read it, I'm not complaining about how they look, but that I do not want naked senior citizens on my tv screen.

BTW, I'm going to be a middle-aged bald woman dying from breast cancer on an old spaceship marooned in space with no home getting chased by evil robots someday? Stick to your day job okay? Don't ever venture into fortune-telling.

The second comment made me laugh though. The visuals. The irony would be terrible if it happened. XD
