I thought she was a Sue from the first film....they just made it worse as they progressed.

Oh definitely, it would be hard to make her character not a Sue. The only way to have avoided it would be to cast a plainer looking, or dare say, a chubby, actress.

Seriously, they do need to start hosting some chubby actresses. you can make a chubby person look awesome in movies

She was deep, deep into Suedom from the first movie. Like a bad self-insert some twelve year old might write. xD

I didn't think she was any more a Sue than the rest of the characters were. Least, not for the first two films. She could be bitchy, make reckless decisions that upset or pissed the other characters off (see: burning Jack's rum to signal the ships, which Jack wasn't happy about, tricking Jack into getting eaten by the Kraken, which the rest of the crew wasn't happy about).

She had some ridiculous skill in sword combat, sure, but so did the rest of the cast of varying intelligences and experiences. It's a ridiculous setting with a ridiculous story, of course she'd be no exception.

How she was in the third film is a debatable case.
