Man, I wish I could find a beer I like but they all taste so gross.

Yeah there's plenty of beers that are incredibly gross and I can't abide. But a nice crisp lager or a refreshing ale... Just really hits the spot. Even porter or stout if they're on the lighter side, like Guiness and whatnot.

For me it's really the hoppiness and the heaviness I can't stand with beer. Idk. Unfortunately that's what seems to be popular

Based on your mixed drink preferences, you might also try a lambic or a sour ale. Those tend to be on the fruity/sweet side.

One of my favorite light, sweet beers is Früli, which is blended with strawberry juice. The very first time I tried one was while out with a group, and it got passed around to the sweet liqueur/cocktail drinkers who rather liked it as well. Recommended try if strawberries are a go!
