133: Well I don't find them pathetic, I just get confused. I guess it's because I'm British, but yeah okay the shows may be good but our culture can *suck* sometimes. A lot of the time now. I love the US and American shows but I know that the US isn't really like the shiny stuff you see on tv thats why I'm not obsessed with their culture.
I always just think that if this people visit here it's going to be a huge disappointment!

(Anonymous) 2009-02-06 12:08 am (UTC)(link)Like I said, I don't find people pathetic myself, I always just think that those who got hooked on our culture because of television will be disapointed because it's not like that in real life (and I guess I honestly don't have a very high opinion of this country nowadays, but that's my opinion, from living here all my life).
I was just trying to relate a little to the OP of the secret.
But if people got hooked by visiting here then it's a completely different thing. That's cool for you, I know a lot of people do. I'm not sure how the OP of the secret thinks about that.

But I like the other random things, like how Alyson Hannigan's character in Buffy once said she watches Doogie Howser fic, and now she stars in HIMYM with Neil Patrick Harris who played Doogie Howser. I love little random connections like that.
