Maybe just tag it "major character death" (or the similar tag, i forget the tag name, but I've seen it before) then you can add the extra tag of (Not MC death), and if it's an in canon death, "canonical death"? Along with the angst and other tags.

Yeah, or honestly in this fandom I could just be like "takes place during ending" and anyone who's played the game knows what's up, hahah. This game is brutal. (I mean there's also the brief mention of the - again, canon - suicide pact that's about to go down.)

But then I have a few people who I've managed to get kind of invested in my OTP even though they haven't played the game, and although they've probably GUESSED by now, I never actually wrote about the deaths since they actually were shown in canon and thus it was already out there. :P I suppose "grief" is a good tag for this one too since the details are all off-screen in the past or future somewhere.
