I'm not saying that it's *not okay* at all -- I mean really, go ahead and ship it if you want; I'm not going to criminalize you for it.

But it seems like everywhere I turn, when there's a large male cast who happen to even have looked at each other, the fandom is trying to figure out who's taking whom up the butt. And it's really annoying to be singled out and pissed off at by people who tell you you're not really invested in liking two characters if you can't see them together.

Biggest example: everyone I know in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn fandom.

Well for me, I like the friendships in the canon. I do respect them. But they're already there. They're written. Friendship moments can be found in actual canon. Shipping gives a different twist to it. I don't think romantic relationships are better then friendship, they're just different. It's another way of exploring the relationship. Now if people are really saying you can't like two characters without thinking they're having hot sex behind the scenes, they're assholes.

But you didn't answer her question. Is non-canon hetshipping ok with you?
