I think it utterly has to do with what the writer is doing, because in my own experience both writing and reading the porn, sex can't just be sex, it has to be working through what's going on with the characters.

I do think there's a *lot* of potential for really strong gen in Leverage, though.

(Even though I do think there should be fic where Nate and Sophie have kinky control issue sex, because it would be relevant to their issues.)

True, true. Best porn is character-driven, in any fandom.

Ooooh, and yes, I would definitely read such a Nate/Sophie fic, but again, it wouldn't be just sex, it would be more about character relations.
