I hope there isn't like a wave of P&P fic going on where 2005-ver characters are being shipped for TEH PRETTEH. That would be annoying. But it's not like the 2005 version is BAD. I may be just poked in a sore spot though, because I like the 2005 version more purely on the fact that I like that version's Bingley better.

Also, your icon = win.

You know I like the 2005 movie too, for whiddling it down into just a film, they did a good job. My mom adores the movie, and she just doesn't have the time to go through the miniseries. (If she did, she would probably read the book instead).

Bingley in that version was awesome, and Jane was so pretty, I may not have been big on Knightley as Elizabeth but everything else went very well, and as someone who has read the book like 1000 times, I admit that the BBC version sometimes bores me because it is so close to the book.

Well Anastasia is complete and utter awesome, so of course it is made of win.

I love the book, but there are parts you really don't need to put on screen, it drags down the action, and when the action is already mostly dialogue it doesn't make for much compelling drama. The movie has fab acting, gorgeous cinematography and keeps almost exactly to the book, and the OP can deal.

ANASTASIAAA. I have such a crush on Dmitri. Also I have seen "In the Dark of the Night" in about 3294739 languages.

I loved the setting, and I love Mrs. Bennett in the film. It kept all the really key scenes and whatever. Movies that stick way close to the book tend to suck in my opinion (granted those that deviate in every which way also suck, I guess making an adaptation is like meeting in the middle).

Dmitri is one of those cartoon guys that you look at and are freak out because they are hot. Personally I was in love with Anya the whole freaking time.
