Eh, I'm not sure if it's any different with guys, but their behaviour is just manifested in less noticeable ways.

I just think it kinda sucks because, once you get over feeling jealous over female characters and instead start admiring or just liking them, media becomes a lot more enjoyable and less stress-inducing. It also helped me feel more confident in myself, somehow.

Seriously! I've NEVER been jealous of a character. I always thought "Gee I wish I was more like her! She's so cool!" or whatever. Much more enjoyable!

Besides, RELATING to the characters is kind of supposed to happen. Though, even the ones I can't relate to I can appreciate for being so odd.

Really any kind of "GRR I HATE THAT GUY" aside from say, villains, can really lower the experience. I'm totally guilty of it for some male archetypes and it sucks! XD
