Well I think of it like this: Oxygen is this big hot-shot and the two Hydrogens are like these little fangirls of his, but neither one of them can win him over on their own so they work together in order to form a bond. Once the bond is formed, Oxygen can't choose one of the Hydrogens to keep because he loves them both equally... but the Hydrogens decide that their actually okay with sharing and thus the threesome. Does that help any?

See, when I saw this secret, my first thought was something like Haruhi/Hikaru/Kaoru from Ouran--twincest, except Oxygen is a complete tsundere and the Hydrogen twins love to tease her until she gets mad and throws stuff, and they end up having thunderous three-way make-up sex when they actually make her mad.

XD I can see it working like that too! I guess it depends on the genders you first imagine? I first saw O as male and H as female, so it kinda went from there for me. XD

I thought that hydrogen was just one element but with a split personality because it's diatomic lol.

Zeta is amazing for that! One of my other favorites is Char and Amuro's reunion, especially in the movie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfIeRdSwFGc). Not to mention their hilarious fistfight in CCA.

SEED... I actually only managed to watch half. It's the only gundam series I can't stand the art for :(
