(Anonymous) 2009-02-09 04:07 am (UTC)(link)If you don't care for D.Gray-man at all, then you probably haven't read/watched it as much as people who have. I've read it a lot - if Lenalee is a Sue, then so are all the main characters. Seems to me that you're holding her to a higher standard because she's a girl. And I think you're missing a lot of Lenalee's backstory out. She has major problems, but maybe you didn't notice them. Actually, I would say that Lavi has less problems than Lenalee or Allen.
Characters are allowed to get along well with others, you know? That doesn't actually make them Sues automatically. A Sue would be someone who everyone loved without there being a good reason for it.
Oh and just to verify I'm not a fangirly yaoi fucker.
And if you were, there would be nothing wrong with it.
