106) Absolutely nothing. I will never understand the Ruby hate. She's a complicated, morally ambiguous character which makes her interesting as all get out.

107) It's supposed to be a zombie flick. If they don't live up to your narrow definition of zombie, that's your problem, not the rest of the worlds.

152) It's the best sci-fi show I've ever seen. And your opinion to the contrary doesn't make even the slightest dent in mine. Sorry. I also like Lost, but it doesn't come close to being as well thought through. Unlike Lost, B-5 actually did know exactly where it was going from the start -- and that's extremely rare with a story this complex. I can count the filler episodes on one hand. Nearly every episode either reflected or forshadowed another episode, which is why you can't start watching from the middle.

I was not trying to convert anyone with my secret, which is apparently the default assumption among people fanatical about the show who are intent on making people agree how omgawesome they think it is. The fans' replies have been defensive to say the least.

I've seen random episodes of shows with continuing stories that made me interested in what had come before or what would happen next. B5 did not do it for me.

These secrets (and the replies) are supposed to be "one asshole's opinions" anyway. *shrugs*

Dude... you wrote a "one asshole's opinion" and got "another assholes response". Because it's a secret, doesn't mean that you automatically will have everyone agree with you. It doesn't work that way. You got something off your chest -- that you don't get why the rest of us love the show so much, though not in those words. And I responded, in different words, "well okay then."

B5 absolutely can't be started in the middle. It has to be watched from the beginning. The magic is in the connection from one show to the other, like building a puzzle. I happened to find the individual peices to be also very thought provoking, but the real magic was in seeing them all fit together. If that epiphany of seeing a piece click together doesn't make your heart skip beats, and the characters didn't make you swoon, then, no it's not going to thrill you.

It's like people enjoying anything. For example, I find the Batman movies to be too full of ridiculous plot holes to take seriously, and yet not funny enough to take lightly -- so I think they are unwatchable crap. Others think they are the bees knees. Obviously, they get something out of the movie I don't. Not sure what it is, but they do.
