Bad wording on my part. I like 28 Days Later (28 Weeks later not so much, as the plot hinges on everyone being idiotic for a moment), but the defense it's the same: Not real, I can do whatever I want with the 'myth' even contradicting other, older and far more traditional, sources.

My only issue with the infected is that they're not unstoppable. You shoot them in the leg, they will stop running after you. You shoot them in the chest? Problem solved. Hell, the same movie solves the problem by 'run away far enough, wait for long enough, they'll die of hunger. Zombies (at least the non-voodoo variation) are tougher and last for far longer (My personal favorite part of World War Z is that even frozen, if the zombies get thawed, they will still go after you). Other than that? Yes, it's a great apocalyptic movie. Just... not zombies.

I think this is honestly just an argument that could go in circles, because fact and perception of what counts as a zombie just sort of meshes together, and then it's what physically makes them a zombie and...well down to every angle you can look at it from. I still count them as zombies, whether or not they're risen from the grave or easier to stop, they're still nasty things that are just going to come after you and try to eat you. Like ..hypnotized cannibals or something.

However, here's a fact we can probably both agree on: World War Z is a fucking awesome book.

And yes, WWZ is an awesome book. Have you heard the audio version? The battle of Yonkers is breathtaking there.

It got an award for the reading. Max Brooks himself is the narrator, but among the voice cast is Mark Hamill (Who does the vet. from Yonkers). My only complain of the audio book is that it's the abridged version, so somethings are cut.
