True, though I personally see a difference between the two. It`s true both are ment for entertainment, but to me Blackface sends out a message that "Black people do act like this and they do things like this! Isn`t that funny/weird/etc.?" as if it were fact that all black people behave in the manner they portray. To me Hetalia seems to say, with Italy as the example, "People assume that Italy does things like this and the Italians act like this. Isn`t that funny/weird/etc.?" I believe Hetalia shows how silly stereotypes can be while Blackface glorifies them.

Don`t assume that I`m pushing this view on you. I understand that you see Hetalia and it`s message in a completly different way. I think it`s safe to say that you believe Hetalia and Blackfasce are on the same level, and that`s fine. I`d just wanted to let you in on my opinion.
