Soo I’m about 6 episodes deep on the Netflix version - unfamiliar with the source material, just looked like a pretty ghost-hunting “anime” - and while I’m not entirely surprised to hear it’s a BL because there have been some moments that vaguely suggested, it’s subtle enough you could also dismiss the idea with no impact to the story. I wouldn’t say it’s a bold victory in China allowing gay representation. (Though maybe by the last ep I’ll know differently?)

It's a slow burn and while there definitely are strong hints, the current season isn't anywhere near the point where it would be an actual romance.
