Didn't do much today. Worried about my drive to see my sister Friday since it will be raining but I need to be there Saturday to apply for my TSA precheck thing.

Dinner, I guess. Trying to decide whether to continue a fanwork or finish a game.

Also, failed a bit less at work today. Maybe that trend will continue. I can only hope.

Slept past my alarm but managed to get to the library to pick up my reserves. Also picked up some queer non-fiction in honor of Pride Month, am thinking of attending the afternoon health fair on Saturday where they'll have Yoga, Zumba, a gardening demonstration, and a mobile food pantry among other things, and I had a good dinner/dessert tonight...so I'm really satiated. :D

I fucking hate DnD roleplaying. Must be nice to be an all-powerful know-it-all who can do anything they want. I'll never play this stupid fucking game.

For the record, yeah I had a bad experience and it was enough to put me off it forever.

Thank you. So many egos. So much "look what I can do", "it's all about me" stuff. And abuse of power. I just....I don't get it. IT'S. NOT. REAL. YOU WISH YOU WERE THAT COOL/BEAUTIFUL/TALENED YOU LOW-LIFE CREEPO. It's so fucking manipulative. People have tried to convince me otherwise, but it's so contingent on you having a good group and everyone liking you.

IDK, sorry for the rant. This experience reminds me why I prefer to enjoy my nerdy hobbies alone. I hate elitist nerds who act like they're hot shit. I get along better with more casual gamers or even so called "normal" people who don't know anything about games or anime or whatever.

Spent 4 hours putting together the shed tonight with my dad and brother, as well as 5 hours last night, and it's all together but the doors. I took a break partway through to help my friend out during raid hour in PoGo and on the last raid of the hour I got a shiny Regigigas. :D

Now back to worrying about that spur-of-the-moment meeting tomorrow that my entire IT department was notified about until after hours yesterday, with no Zoom option (fortunately my immediate boss told me I was welcome to come but he wasn't going to require it given my situation, can't get vaxxed due to a wonky immune system), and which the college president is apparently going to be present at.

I am not intending to try to drive over there and put myself at risk since I know everyone else will fill me in, and my boss said he even asked a few questions and told us "I was told we don't need to be worried" but... we're overworked, understaffed IT nerds. We don't know how to not be worried. Will be stalking the discord server all day even after I'm out of hours for the week.

I got mailed a pair of shorts and two pairs of sweatpants. Both Jordan branded. Both should have been returned to amazon. Different states, different people. Shipped to my home.

I dont know what the fuck is going on but I know I would survive in a horror movie.

Horror movies start with some odd omen or portent of future calamity. I had something really strange happen and I've already forgotten about it. (New episode of Loki is fun!) Did my identity get stolen? Will there be more packages? Is this a scam somehow? How the fuck did these people get our address on an official looking amazon return label?

Dunno. I wonder if my spouse's coworker with kids wants these goddam sweatpants.

Like, if the walls started oozing black ichor I'd forget to call the super for a week and die of haunting/mold infestation.

I just got done reading The Left/Right Game. I found it after googling a different nosleep story after referring to it on Facebook, to make sure anyone who saw the comment would be able to find out what I was talking about if they wanted. I wound up at a list of best/most notable nosleep stories. The decision from there to actually read one was stupid, and I’m glad this isn’t something I could unintentionally stumble into if it were real. That’s my measure for being able to handle horror stories: whether I can stay removed from them or not. In cases where it’s “just don’t follow the creepy road/explore the creepy building/do the creepy ritual”, I feel safe enough to consume it as a piece of media. Anyway, it was an interesting piece of media.

Yesterday someone scaled my back alley fence into my yard, knocked over a trashcan, threw another trashcan over my side yard fence, knocked over and stepped on a bunch of potted plants, hung a quilt from the carport as a privacy curtain, dropped a shit stained tank top in my yard, and changed it for something out of the rag bag box of old clothes being used as a cat bed, which is the only thing I didn't begrudge them.

Then they broke through my fence into the neighbor's yard and started going through their stuff, where my neighbor spotted them right when I got home, while I was freaking out at the plant slaughter. I tossed their tank top and quilt back over the fence and my neighbor chivvied the so high or messed up she was orbiting Jupiter lady out of his yard, where she picked up the quilt and wandered off.

I hope she's okay and also that she doesn't come back, and that my plants recover.

Still a little freaked out. People camp out in the bushes outside my back fence sometimes and idc so long as they don't shit there, or smoke or light candles or anything--there's lots of dry leaves and stuff and I don't want a house fire.

Last year someone broke into the house, moved a chair in front of the tv so it faced a framed pic of my dead mom, ate a bunch of food and took a bunch with them, scooped the cat box, lined up my roommate's shoes by the front door, bagged the trash from their meal and put the bag on the back porch, and left. That was creepier but we never saw them and they cleaned up after themselves.
