Jeeze this, yeah. I remember some meta going around years ago about how the plot of P+P was Elizabeth getting to know and accept Darcy. And like, no it isn't at all. They both have to grow and improve. Arguably Darcy has the most work to do, but it happens for Elizabeth not in front of Elizabeth so I figured that meta (essay?) author didn't realize it. Maybe they were just going off of the 2005 book, who knows.
