115 - I hate the people that assume because I like that show that its the only reason I want to be a doctor. House is NOT a real doctor, any real doctor tries to act like that and they'd be dismissed in a heartbeat. Anyone who wants to be a doctor to be like House is a tool.

The show made me realize that I've always found medicine really interesting. (Like when I was younger, I had EVERY medical book of any sort that my family owned in my bedroom to read in my spare time.) Prior to discovering the show I was actually studying journalism to be a medical science journalist; although I ended up very disillusioned with journalism.

I never thought of being a doctor, though. I don't know why. House made me put two and two together, and now I know that I want some sort of job in medicine. Not entirely sure I want to be an actual doctor, but I want to be in medicine.


Everyone's interpretation of that is, "wants to be House." No, not really. The ways in which I can already relate to House kind of suck, thanks. I'd rather be less like him, not more.
