101. Weirdest thing, but for some reason the one place to get brutally honest feedback on the internet seems to be your tattoos. I would think that people feel more awkward criticizing something that can't be changed easily, like a tattoo, than on a piece of art/writing/video editing.

112. ... okay ... I mean, if He-man fanfic is your THING, that's awesome. But the nice thing about the internet is that you can find other people who might possibly be interested in the same things you are and you don't have to bother/embarrass your family about it.

149. I add that to the file name when I save them. Or sometimes create folders labelled "from lj comm ____" or "by lj user____"

112. Pretty much. I don't wave my Transformers fic at my parents, mostly because they won't know what the hell I'm on about. Fandom stays in fandom.

I've noticed that, too - I think it's rooted in the perception that a fandom tattoo is something you'll end up regretting because fandom, or a particular fandom, is inevitably a phase - at least, that's what I picked up from a number of snide comments on certain anon memes about certain BNFs. People gush about her fanfic (which is good, really), but the tattoo she's had to justify repeatedly. :/

For what it's worth, I think you end up regretting almost any tattoo eventually, fandom or not.
