The funny thing is? I checked the ship out for the "Jet is gay for Zuko" LULZ but stayed because the fic was just really, really good. And what makes it so good is that 90% of it is about finding a way for the two of them to actually be together in a way that makes sense. And now I actually ship them totally seriously and it's really embarrassing. >.>

Huh, I didn't know that. I'll have to go read some fics then, because I love that type of story that finds a way for the seemingly impossible, possible.

As long as you're not going to be one of those fans who insists that their crack pairing is canon, I think you're fine.

There's crack fic there like there's crack fic everywhere, but not as much as you'd think. One person's been posting a big alternate season three. Another person posted something about Fire Lord Zuko and Jet a few days ago. A while back someone wrote a series of fics about them as old men living in the woods that were really really cute.

There are a lot of AUs, obviously.

But no, I don't think most of us think it's canon. Though a lot of us think they could have been friends if things had gone differently. :)
