Coming up to the terrible Monday.

Surprisingly and pleasantly slow.

Drove home and only hit some bad rain once. Trying to get the energy to cut my fingernails.

I honestly hating cutting my nails. Such a stupid chore.

My grandma passed away this morning, so not great. I've had a couple of friends and family members pass away over the last six months, and I don't think I've really been processing everything all that well. 2021 has sucked so far.

Dad came over to possibly hack out some storage shelving for the shed using stuff we had lying around and see about a few little oddities I had noticed while hanging the doors.

This turned into three hours of us out in the hot sun trying to figure out how to get the doors to line up better, at one point removing the doors thinking that I may have installed the hinges wrong (or maybe the directions had been wrong)... only to discovered that if we installed the hinges the other way, not only would the holes not line up, but also the doors wouldn't close. So after that we gave up and went to close the shed and figured we'd brainstorm some more before trying again... and then the shed doors got caught on each other and we couldn't get them open again without yanking so hard we were worried we were going to tear something out. Turns out we made matters slightly worse somehow by removing and replacing the doors.

So now that is done and I am going to be miserable later but I needed something ice cold so I put some coffee chocolate chip ice cream in my dark chocolate Ensure plus a drop of peppermint oil and made a mint mocha milkshake. It tasted great and felt good going down but my intestines will hate me in a few hours.

And I feel like there's something I was going to do that I'm forgetting about. I sure hope it wasn't more important than "put in an order for more of the good coffee".

I rediscovered some old TV from the nineties I'd recorded. It was a late night show about Star Trek, made back when such programs were niche and clearly made by three guys in a basement on a shoestring budget.

I really miss TV being like that.

SA Should add it was a BBC show so literally using action figures and cardboard cutouts as props.

Uneventful and I plan on keeping it that way.

Spent most of the day at the spa with my mom. We left at 9 and just got back 5 minutes ago. It was a lot of fun. The massage was amazing, and the pools and hot tubs were great.

Now I'm going to do a few chores and then go to sleep because I'm exhausted.

I am a bit of a meiser (and kinda poor) but I have been a buying spree this weekend and it is so much fun.

It started out crap because I was still up at midnight last night and didn't go to bed until three, and I wasn't doing anything fun, I'm just having an insomniac week. Then I woke up at 6:30.

But aside from that, it's been okay; I met up with my aunt and we walked to the pier and the dog beach and watched surfers and dogs and people.

Afterwards I swung by the health food store and bought purple garlic, Italian herb tofu, mushroom broth concentrate, barley malt syrup, and sunflower greens--there are lots of grocery stores by my house, but I like going to this one even though it's a couple bus transfers away because they have weird niche stuff.

Heading home now, and aside from the unmasked Tourette's case sitting two feet from me on the bus, it's been good so far. Have to do all my workweek prep stuff when I get home, though. Also I hope this guy doesn't escalate.

Really not bad. I didn't get much done, but my windows are open post-storm, the air is fresh and pretty cool, and it's all good. In general it was actually a gorgeous day, the thunderstorm was awesome, and the whole rest of the week will be cooler, with more rain.

I do have a dentist appt. tomorrow, though. But! I'll get off work early, so.....

We were drinking and playing Sea of Thieves with the new PoTC update last night and ooooh my god. I was so drunk that when I woke up again five hours later to feed the cats I was still drunk. xD

Highly recommend playing SoT while drinking.

Sucky and hot.

Been sick for over week now due to the heat, what a truly awful summer it's shaping up to be. Trying to stay hydrated but my body is very much not equipped for this weather. On a lighter note, received some art books in the mail that are gorgeous that I've been flipping through over the weekend. Been reading Kin Arthur tales too.

My cousin and I had a nice day out at the museum and had a great late lunch outside. After some rain in the morning, the weather was lovely. Managed to get the lawn mowed this evening. We had been in a drought so the grass wasn't growing until recently. I meant to do it yesterday but it was too drippy and wet. All in all a better day than Saturday when I had to scrape up the rotting, maggot-filled corpse of a rabbit off the lawn and bury it so it would stop stinking up the place.

I just got a comment in one of my fics that my fic series is underrated 😭 thank you to the reader who has been leaving really kind comments to my fics

well it was my birthday and......I've had better, lmao.
