Same. First all my crushes were significantly older than me. Then my crush was literally my age. And then my crush was over ten years younger than me.

But the problem wasn't the celeb's age, the problem was the average age of most fans - they were the ones who made me feel old.

Ehh, without being gross or obnoxious about it, you're allowed to find people attractive. And you could always go by the old "half your age plus seven years" adage, meaning the youngest you would consider is someone half your age plus seven years old (say you're 34, so half your age is 17, plus 7 years is 24). Like (for example) I can appreciate that the guys in BTS are cute, and if I was their age or younger I might be squeeing about it somewhere, but I'm middle-aged, and honestly it just doesn't appeal to me because they ARE so young compared to me. They're cute (they're just not for me) and that's okay. You know?

I feel this. I got into Kpop over a decade after I stopped listening to it and I was blown away by the visuals and talent of the Kpop idols now (still love and adore the elder idols I loved back when I was young). Crushing on a younger idol comes with my own personal struggles, but I'm OK knowing that they're just shallow fangirly crushes that has more to do about the idol fantasy than any real expectations or ideas on these strangers. Like, I tell myself "enjoy the things you like, it's not that deep"

I have 2 biases in NCT and Jaemin is one of them. He's one of the youngest members in NCT, too. And all of CIX is like....but they want to play with me.
