"For a CW show."

Again, low fucking bar. And you need to talk to some not online people (aka, not Jared's fanbase who spam the ratings of everything he's in) who tried watching the show. It's not popular. It's not hated, but no one is waiting eagerly to see what happens next season other than the people who would rather be stealing the hair from JP's hairbrush but will take what they can get.

Yeah, I'm a hardcore SPN fan and have no desire to watch Walker.

I assumed the audience was Jared stans and boomers who liked the Chuck Norris one.

But it's doing fine with that low bar, which was my point.

Again: hate the dude, that's your prerogative, but acting like a show doing okay is some massive flop is just an outright lie and makes you look like the other side of the insane actor-stan culture: die-hard haters who are obsessed over every tiny thing these people do to pull them apart.

So do you think Jared's goal as an actor is to be considered "pretty good, for CW?" Because if that's his goal, then you're correct that the show's a success.
Otherwise, it's just "pretty good for CW," which frankly is somewhere between "pretty good for VH1" and "pretty good for Animal Planet" on the old "This job's making me feel confident and not at all regretful about my choices" meter.

Considering the man was on SPN for 15 years, good for the CW is likely just fine for him, otherwise he'd have tried to go elsewhere.

Like dude, you're trying to pin embarrassment where there isn't any, going from a lead on an average TV show to being a lead on another average TV show is hardly the downgrade you seem to think it is, a lot of actors are just fine with leading mediocre shlock. Plenty make their careers off of it in fact.
