What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am visiting my sister for July 4th. My mother and nephew are also here and the rest of the family will be here on the 4th. Going to be stressful as fuck.

I want to have some sort of party with my best friend and his roommates but all I've got is a "we'll see" and some unreturned phone calls. And this is for the first major holiday since the covid restrictions are finally starting to get lifted?

I hope you get to have a get together.

I'll pick up my sister's boyfriend and drive him 1,5h to where he needs to be. Didn't ask why, but I guess he's going to see his kids from previous relationship.

Then I'll try to clean up my apartment, because it is a complete depression/hoarder hell hole.

Why are you taking him? Just being nice?

I have spent all this week making multiple trips to the bathroom per hour or alternately lying face down stretched out because it is the least painful position, so I kind of suspect I will be doing the same thing this weekend. :/ Hopefully some shiny Tepigs will show up tomorrow while I am trying to play Pokemon Go in the bathroom or lying on my stomach. When I am able to lie down in a position where I can type, hopefully the current fic will start moving faster after an epiphany I had a couple days ago about how to tie it all together.

If I feel up to it, might be helping make some tweaks to the now fully-assembled shed and the mostly-assembled shelves inside (made of spare concrete blocks and the pallet the shed kit came on because we're thrifty like that).

That sucks! My sister and I will be doing to pogo event together. I hope you are able to find some relief.

You'd think, but...

1. Been seeing doctors about this crap for 35 years
2. I'm American
3. I'm female-bodied

Last time I saw a doctor he brushed off my idea about what was going on (SIBO, well-known in other countries) with "Well I've never heard of it so I'm not going to try to treat it or read the info you printed off about it, I'm going to still say it's all in your head" and then told me there was no point in coming back to see him again because there was nothing he could do and then I was charged $150 for the privilege of being called a liar.

So yeah, I haven't been back because that is pretty much my experience with every doctor I have ever seen and I'm not rich.

Getting ready for new job that starts Tuesday. We'll be celebrating the 4th on Monday. Not sure what we are doing, but whole family will be there.

Tonight we are celebrating my new job, so we ordered Thai food.

I'll be watching either My Cat from Hell or Dr. Jeff, Rocky Mountain Vet.

I got Pad Thai. So did mom. Dad got red curry. Not sure what my sister or brother in law got yet.

I will hopefully be: reading more books (that I took out from the library two weeks ago) so that I can say that I read more than two whole books this whole year, drinking some tea and eating soup to stave off the cold I think I'm getting from the AC, catching up on films/shows in my Netflix queue, and trying to find a comfortable position to lay/sleep in/sit up straight in because whatever is to the left of my right shoulder blade is twingeing w/ pain when I move.

It's vacation time at my dad's place! I'll try to find a badass looking bracelet made of recycled bicycle tyre at the local market, and that's about it.

Oh, and I need to call my brother on the 4th--regular day in our country but it's his birthday.

Shoot, no luck. I know the bracelets I want exist because I saw some last summer, but I then persuaded myself I didn'it need one, only to regret it later. (Then I tasked my sister who was staying in the village longer to choose one for me; she got one for her boyfriend and forgot I asked in the first place. I love my sister but she has like no memory!)
The lady who makes them attends markets here on Wednesdays but not on Saturdays and might be back later this week? or the next one? and I won't be there long enough for this. I could try and ask my mother or a cousin to look for them this time..?
