It's not too uncommon really. I can remember Futurama did an episode with Bender as a god, who then later goes on to speak to Real God. Sometimes I feel some other shows go into an angle where the beauty of the cosmos is so dazzling and wonderful, how can one not feel a sense of direction and purpose to things? Feeling this way is not a bad thing by itself. This feeling of spirituality and oneness with the universe can be enjoyed by atheist and theist people alike, though some people don't know that. But yeah, intelligent design ruins true understanding of the universe and science, which I feel is sad and robs future spiritual feelings of joy and beauty.

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Er, just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

Yeah it seems a lot more rampant now in more recent years; I see people complain about losing interest when they're not getting daily content frequently - and of course unless there's a follow up movie, movie fandoms are definitely the first ones to go.

I'm a slow writer. I also have some health problems that slow me down even further.

It makes me really sad whenever I get reviews on my fic with people assuming I've abandoned my stories because I can only update them once a year. :( I swear I'm working on all of them as fast as I can.

It just really bothers me when people ask why I've abandoned my works.

I haven't. I won't.

I'm just slow.

What dumb logic. I'm not very familiar with ID, but there's a difference between theories of creation versus technology. It makes no difference if the Big Bang created the universe or God did, air-conditioners work either way.

Also, science fiction is FICTION. A lot of it is completely unscientific. Check out Neil deGrasse Tyson destroying various SF movies.

Only video game, kpop, anime and livestreamer/influencer RPF fandoms get to be big nowadays. It's a shame.

I really like Marie Kondo, she seems like a sweet unassuming human being. I loved her book and it genuinely changed my life (as a former hoarder) even though I can see how it wouldn't be for everyone.

I really really wish she had stopped with her books. I hate seeing all the negative things about her that have cropped up since her Netflix show. Most recently a really smug article by some dude entitled 'Dear Marie Kondo, here's my much better scientific method of decluttering'.

"Wait, you can't personally enjoy that!" is kind of a weird take. It's like saying you can't have pregnancy kinks unless you've ever had or at least want to have kids. Yeah, I get that science and creation go deeper than that, but I've seen Christians and Atheists play games about killing God or killing the devil, and neither took offense at what they were experiencing or thought, "I should apply this to my life somehow."

Let your friend worry about what goes on in their head. Maybe this is their safe way of seeing things from the other side.
