Yeah, exactly. I relate to "I'd like this a lot more if it wasn't just about sex", but that's why I don't bother clicking on most things marked as PWP/porn, or rated Explicit and like 3000 words long with a bunch of sex-related tags.

And if I do out of boredom or because I didn't read the tags/rating carefully enough, I sure wouldn't be rude enough to leave a comment to that effect. WTF. It's not like anyone is COMPELLLLLLED to read a given fic even though it contains subject matter they don't like. o_o And if they do secretly like it... why should it be a secret? Most people love porn, and there are enough people into omegaverse that it seems like not a horrible dirty shame. :P

Yup. Only time a review like that would be appropriate, IMHO, is if it was a gift fic/fest fic for someone who specifically said they didn't want what that fic was. Once had someone write a fic for me for a fest and include one of my specifically mentioned squicks (saying they thought the thing I asked for had to include the thing I didn't want).

Oof, that's exasperating. :/

Honestly sometimes I do click on a fic that wasn't what I was expecting but if there were things about it I did like enough to warrant a comment, I just, y'know, try to focus on the stuff that "you wrote especially well". I'm sure lots of people enjoyed the porny bits or whatever and will praise them for those, hahah.
