I know there were complaints about the original not being diverse enough but much as I don't want to admit this, that made sense for the characters, they *were* a bunch of white kids living in an extremely sheltered world. Was that realistic? No, but it was part of the design of the world the story took place in (nothing else was realistic either including their sense of time and distance).

Is it too soon to reboot? Technically, no, the world has changed *a lot* since the original went off the air. But...that only means other shows have stepped in to replace it. I mean, if you want to see a Gossip Girl that's allowed to do and say everything the CW didn't allow, then you cna just watch Elite on Netflix.

I mean, it was perfectly fine?? The acting was mostly CW level and the actor ages for half the cast is awkward because they run into the same age group as the main group of adults lol

But if you're wanting a show where everyone is awful then yeah - none of that so far and the Gossip Girl is not only revealed but truly the WORST, bad enough that you root for the kids lol

Is this show actually out?

I've seen no officially promotions for it at all. If it wasn't for people on twitter dragging it i wouldn't have even known that there was a reboot.

So this is why Gossip Girl has been trending huh?

I thought it was one of those forced trends where someone posts 4 pictures of a tv show and says 'one of them has to go'.

I feel this. I don't know if I entirely feel the same way, but I completely get where you're coming from. I'll have to check out the new one and see what I think.
