(Anonymous) 2021-07-12 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)I'm assuming they've done it because they're attempting to age him since they've gone on record as having forgotten to do that in season 1. And hair/beard growth is the go-to method... for some reason.
I feel like Joey could pull it off depending on what sort of material he's been given but I'm wondering if we will see him enough for it to even matter.
I have a feeling that he's going to get a few epic bard moments and then be sidelined for the majority of the show.

(Anonymous) 2021-07-13 12:17 am (UTC)(link)But yeah, I hate long hair on men, too. (Plus, I love pretty boys, which makes my hatred for long hair on men odder. IDK why but for some reason the hair never adds to the prettiness for me.)

(Anonymous) 2021-07-13 01:49 am (UTC)(link)(i fucking hate facial hair. loathe it. it's gotten to the point where if I'm reading an original novel or a fic and the character is described as having a beard I immediately nope out of it)

Though, to be fair, Eskel doesn't look like Eskel, Eskel looks like some moody YA love interest; some blond youth complete with blond man-bun and this is disfiguring by Hollywood-standards scarring to hint at a tragic backstory and explain his prickly exterior.
Eskel's actual role and personality, on the other hand, seem to have gone to the character they claim to be Lambert.
