Oh, I love this secret! I wouldn't say Wolf Hall was too hard for me per se. I've definitely forced myself to finish more difficult books. That said, I did start reading it and then quit very shortly thereafter. Something in me was just like, "IDK man, do I really care THAT much about being able to tell myself I've read this?"

The answer was no.

That was around the end of my Reading Literary Classics phase, lol.

Yeah, I bounced quite hard of her stylistic choices. I don't think it's bad, exactly, but it very much doesn't work for me.
