I don't buy hardcopies anymore. I barely even have a functioning disk player. The only disk player I have is the one in my last laptop, which has a busted hinge and boots up through a blue screen every single time.

About a year and a half ago I bought a giant 400 capacity disk case, and proceeded to throw out all my CD and DVD cases. It was hard to do, especially with the boxed sets. The cases feel like such a part of the thing itself. But we don't have space for things that don't serve any real purpose.

I did keep the cases for Fight Club and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, because both are so masterfully well designed.
