I buy them when it's for a show I really love and I tend to buy the limited edition versions because I'm a sucker for collectibles. The LE boxset for My Love Story is absolutely gorgeous and the extras are adorable. The one for the first season of Kamisama Kiss is great too, even if I can't actually use the hair stick as intended because it's too heavy.

I regret buying the first two seasons of Sailor Moon Crystal. I didn't like those seasons, but I also didn't like how lonely the third season looked by itself.

I no longer have a VHS, but I still have the tapes for the Digimon movie, the first Yu-Gi-Oh one, and a few of the Sailor Moon ones.
