I'm always baffled by these "you're a troll, troll" replies. Not just here in this thread, but in general. What's the point of pointing out trolling to the presumed troll?

Either they are a troll, in which case you're feeding the troll, or they aren't, in which case continuously calling them a troll is unhelpful and unkind. Either way, I don't see what the benefit of comments like that are.

It's meant to alert other people that the person is a troll, and is not remotely worth engaging with.

The fact that they popped up again the instant they were mentioned - probably because they made this secret too, in order to get another dose of attention - makes it blindingly clear that they do, in fact, live under a bridge and harass goats.
