171. Despite fandom opinion, you can like both Zuko/Katara and Aang/Katara at the same time. There is nothing wrong with having multiple ships for one character.

Of course that concept is hard to grasp for a lot of people.

No, seriously, I understand. I went through this a couple of years ago when I got into the fandom ... it continues to sadden and amaze me to this day.

I actually don't have problems with people who like him, since liking doesn't necessarily mean agreeing. Just the people who think is in the right seem off, because well there were issues.

Oh, I don't either. And I like him when he has amnesia.

I just don't like people who support Kira ... unfortunately, there are quite a lot of them.

I go to USF as well! :D

Actually, I am a graduate of USF, so I am not really there anymore. ^_^ But good luck to you!

WHile personally neither of them are my main ship, I know plenty of people who like and enjoy both, but they also tend to stay away from hanging with either side because they get bitched at for liking the other pairing.

Man, Avatar fandom reminds me of like the JETS and SHARKS from West Side Stoy, I am just waiting for the Romeo and Juliet to come together and realize alas they cannot be together for he ships Katara/Aang and she ships Zuko/Katara and never shall they meet.

Romeo and Juliet might not be the best analogy to use on these people...because they'll push aside the idea of Romeo and Juliet being FANS divided, and will instead proceed to make it into the great Oma and Shu debate all over again. Who is more tragically divided: Katara/Aang or Katara/Zuko? Siiiiigh. -_-

Still, I'm now wishing that Zutarians and Kataangers went around snapping and pirouetting at each other.
