(Anonymous) 2009-02-15 09:18 am (UTC)(link)But idk, when I was sitting in the theater to watch TDK, the trailer came on and I was like "OIFAJOFSIDO AWESOME...but what's Watchmen?" and practically all the people I went with were all "ZOMG WTF U DON'T KNOW!?!?! HOW DARE YOU" and such.

To be totally honest, the only reason I knew what Watchmen was because I have a friend who was like, "YOU WILL LOVE IT!". I saw the trailer before the Dark Knight and was actually just kinda like, "Eh."
THEN he gave me the novel and I read it, annnnnd- the obsession began. xD
People make out the Watchmen fandom to be a bunch of assholes, but I hopped in and haven't had any problems. As long as you don't act like a moron, you'e fine. xD You've already got a step up since you've read the book.
