Re: Female centered drama or comedy
(Anonymous) 2021-07-28 12:20 am (UTC)(link)Hello Me: is more of a slice-of-life drama with comedy aspects but not without it's heavy moments, without spoiling something very bad(not rape/sexual assault) happens to the female lead as a kid and she's basically Fucked Up as a result. There's a little romance but it's not given a huge amount of focus as the main story is about the lead getting better and finding herself again.
Hotel Del Luna: is a horror+character piece with the female lead as the central focus of the story. It's more a ghost of the week type series with the recovery/redemption/healing of the female lead being the core focus as she is very messy and damaged. The romance of this show is a lot more pronounced however so if you're not a fan of that then give it a pass but I didn't care about the romantic subplot and I still thought it was a really solid show.
