Re: Female centered drama or comedy

If you don't mind non-english media and subtitles, I highly recommend Hotel Del Luna and Hello Me on Netflix. Both are Korean shows and while they are very, very different in genre they focus wonderfully on the female leads.

Hello Me: is more of a slice-of-life drama with comedy aspects but not without it's heavy moments, without spoiling something very bad(not rape/sexual assault) happens to the female lead as a kid and she's basically Fucked Up as a result. There's a little romance but it's not given a huge amount of focus as the main story is about the lead getting better and finding herself again.

Hotel Del Luna: is a horror+character piece with the female lead as the central focus of the story. It's more a ghost of the week type series with the recovery/redemption/healing of the female lead being the core focus as she is very messy and damaged. The romance of this show is a lot more pronounced however so if you're not a fan of that then give it a pass but I didn't care about the romantic subplot and I still thought it was a really solid show.

I don't mind. I studied Korean for 3 years actually. Thanks!
