He wasn't cat sitting. I live with my parents. The cat lives there too. Generally the parents do fine with her. And he's actually now apologized and said his hands were died because my sister point blank said that it was a requirement that the cat stay in the room at all times and threatened him. He was genuinely remorseful and said they had both been wrong.

Seems like hair-splitting... if you leave your car in the care of someone else and they're supposed to make sure it has food/water (at minimum), that seems like cat-sitting to me. Unless the cat is a family pet and not just yours and its care is usually shared among you and your parents? I hadn't gotten that impression from your past comments. I'm sorry your sister is so unreasonable.
