What a dumb comment. Must everyone connect the dots for you?

https://aceattorney.fandom.com/wiki/Janet_Hsu

"Janet Hsu is a Capcom employee working as part of the company's localization team in Osaka, Japan, and was in charge of the English localizations of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice, and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. She also provides the voice of prosecutor Franziska von Karma in the English and French versions of the Ace Attorney games."

She's an authority on the localization. If she says it takes place in CA, then that's where it takes place.

You don't have to believe it, but as far as the localization goes, it's canon. Deal with it.

were you under the impression that usually localisations were done by pixies and that's why i didn't think it was canon? like... yes babe, localisations are done by people working in localisation.
