The only live action BL I’ve seen is Given and I feel this way about all the actors except for the guy they cast as Ritsuka. I can see where they kinda tried, but I’m still not a fan.

They're all like that tbh. I've yet to see a casting that felt remotely accurate.

It's even worse if it's something as simple and cosmetic as the character in the series canonically has bleached or dyed hair, as in people remark upon it and it being a social thing in Japan, and they don't even bother to do that. IDK I want to see the characters not like random interchangeable twinks that are playing the parts of characters that look nothing like them.
