123. Personally, I enjoyed fandom even when I had nothing to complain about in my life. Call it escapist, but it's still a fun hobby.
That said, viewing it as childish and petty makes me feel sorry for you, honestly. Yes, we're discussing the lives of fictional characters, but what good story doesn't provoke discussion? It sounds like you're losing the ability to enjoy fiction because of how REAL and IMPORTANT your life is, and that's frankly sad.
129. I've known an asexual who liked yuri and lesbians who like yaoi - heck, I'm straight in real life, but there are plenty of bishounen I'd plow. Being a straight female into femslash doesn't make you in denial. (Of course, you could be. But this alone doesn't prove it.)
