101 I guess I could say that you basically wasted your vote, but writing in a fictional character is the same thing as voting against all the other candidates, I guess. (I still think it's stupid, personally. I would at least write in a real person.)

146 LOL I never thought I would see a secret about this movie. That is one of the only movies I've seen that have truly disturbed me.

153 Well, the character is technically supposed to be Batman anyway. All of the Watchmen heroes are based on real DC heroes, and the story was originally supposed to take place in Gotham, but Alan Moore eventually decided not to use DC characters. Nite Owl is Batman, Silk Spectre is Huntress, Rorschach is Question, etc.

Also, I forgot to mention THIS HUGE NAKED STATUE OF NAPOLEON (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e6/Apsley_House_Napoleon_statue.jpg) in the Apsley House (the estate of the Duke of Wellington). If you didn't need more convincing that Wellington was totally gay for Napoleon, look no further than this statue, which he confiscated and kept IN HIS OWN HOME (to complete the whole Napoleonic shrine he had going on). It's in his entrance hall, so he probably saw it every day. Just imagine that.

Except not. The characters in Wathcmen were inspired by the Charlton characters who were just picked up by DC (he was originally going to use those new original charlton characters). Nite Owl was inspired by Blue Beetle (who is fifty times more awesome than Batman will ever be), Rorschach was inspired by the Question, The Comedian was Peacemaker, Doctor Manhattan was Captain Atom, and I don't remember who Ozymandias was inspired by. The only one who wasn't inspired by Charlton comics characters was Silk Spectre, and I'm willing to bet she was more based on someone like Black Canary.

I have no idea where you would've heard that the story was going to take palce in Gotham.

oiii, I'm sorry if I came off as rude there :( It's just that some of us weak-minded folk, when we become comic book fans, we go through a terrible and ugly transformation that makes us obnoxious know-it-alls when incorrect information about picture books with lots of punching is being said.

I was basing this off of an interview with Alan Moore I read forever ago, and since I'm not a huge comic fan, I conflated Charlton with DC.

107. There is plenty of interesting discussion to be had about hentai. Why certain themes are repeated over and over again, why they're often exclusive to that genre, why Japan is the original culture it emerged in, how this form of pornography is spreading to the West, what it says about gender, etc, etc...

Culture is a reflection of society, of humanity. And if you find human sexuality interesting, you can find plenty to write about when it comes to hentai.
