Lose everything.

The existence of a TV show (That I've been waiting/hoping for for many years now) gave me just a glimmer of hope that there is something right in the future, that, you know, maybe if I can make it through tomorrow it won't be as bad as all that.

Some people find solace in strange things. When you start putting those small strange things together, you start seeing that there is life that isn't steeped in loss. The Vampire Diaries being, hopefully, made into a TV series, was one of those small stepping stones. Another was that I recently got a job. Another was realizing that my cat and dog are both healthy right now. Another is that I still have (most) of my body parts. However, none of those are fandom related and didn't fit with the com.

I couldn't tell anyone I was making the preparations to end myself. I can't tell anyone that something so stupid as a TV show made me think that I could make it through till at least the fall. They'd laugh, and make it worse, so, instead, I posted it to a safe place, got it off my chest like King Midas' hairdresser, whispering to the reeds.

Oh!! I thought that secret just meant that you were UPSET that the TV show existed! Like all of those whiny Twilight haters that I'm so used to seeing. Sorry. I'm just so used to seeing people wank about stupid stuff that I never thought that tears related to a vampire show actually meant that the person was happy. I'm so sorry, I just thought you were another over-dramatic vampire hater I had roll my eyes and bitch at!

They were tears of shock and joy. Of course, there's that fear that you're going to be disappointed by it, so all you can do is hope for the best.

I adore vampires. And the reason for that /IS/ that series. The joy I felt when reading them is what I hold other books to. The same feeling, not the quality of writing, which, admittedly is very middle school level.

That's why I'm excited to read L. Smith's newest novel, Nightfall, as soon as I can save up the money to be able to buy it. Boo hiss for putting them in hardcovers!

*hugs* Well, now I feel like the worst bitch in the world, you know :'( (yes, I am actually crying right now over how bad I feel for what I said at first... I think I do this kind of 'automatically bitching at people' shit too much, lately) I'm just not used to finding nice people who actually like vampire books on coms like this, damn it :P
