With everything going on in the world and in personal life with shit family & failing my past 3 job interviews thanks to spontaneously stuttering (which I haven't done since I attended college over 10 years ago) - I've been stressed out my head. I'm also an hour into a Sarah Z video, which is interesting but probably shouldn't be watching right now because that too is adding to the stress for some reaon. So now I'm considering watching something like Monster High movies to see if that helps.

If you can, do something physical even if it's just jogging in place. I hate exercise, but it can be a very effective stress release.

absolutely awful. everything in the world is shit, my life is shit, I have a drinking problem and can't stop, I can't find any other way to cope with the world and my life being shit, rinse repeat ad nauseum. I meant to rant about it last night but I fell asleep before I could, only to be awakened at ass o'clock by the city grinding the stump of the tree they cut down two months ago. just. everything is so fucking stupid and angry-making and I'm fucking done and tired and I want to run away to a cabin in the woods and never see another human being for the rest of my life.

After a long struggle with our new director, they agreed to put us back to our old schedule of regular business days instead of having various different shifted schedules to avoid overtime pay. So now I get a regular M-F schedule and I can actually get overtime pay for working on weekends!
And my workload just spontaneously decreased so I finally have time to do the things that have been ignored for the past year-ish of overwork. But today to celebrate (and get a much need chill time) I spent my work day doing the bare minimum then hiding and playing with the work cats.
And when I came home, I found out my cat had NOT pooped on the floor. Very exciting day.

tbh I don't know??? I had an okay day, even bought myself carrot cake because I'd meant to at the beginning of the month for my birthday and never did, and got my cat a new toy (he loves it) but I just... keep crying? I don't know.

...Well I got out "to do a couple raids for raid hour" and oops spent 2 hours out instead of 45 minutes due to miscommunication and road construction (it really doesn't help that I live on the far side of an airport from the rest of town and have to drive around it to get anywhere... if one of two roads is closed, and I go that way, it adds 5-10 minutes to what would be a 5 minute drive). My body hates me now - I had been in enough pain that I'd barely been out of bed today before then and really shouldn't have been sitting up and driving.

But I have like 3 hours left that I can work this week, so after tomorrow morning my weekend starts, and I have already started on making a new cosplay weapon and just tonight picked up some PVC for the hilt while I was out, so I have that to look forward to. Wondering why I didn't get a jigsaw earlier because HOLY CRAP that thing is awesome.

My computer keeps using up battery power like crazy, and I think my new phone does the same thing. I puked up most of my dinner before, so now I'm still hungry and eating two small tins of Vienna chicken sausage to quench the hunger. I think one of my old friends is trying to convert me into being a Jehovah's Witness; the Bible she wanted to send me finally arrived in my mailbox tonight. It seems that my other friend is ignoring my return to being online. I have no Netflix on my computer and it hasn't been on my TV since the Roku went out six months ago so there's nothing to watch. At least I have stuff to read.

Just found out my union has ratified a new contract with gave us zero raise. At a time like this when my coworkers are dropping like flies for greener pastures and I can walk into my nearest grocery store and get paid a higher starting wage, my union can't even get it together to get us a cost of living raise!?
I'm absolutely livid. I have been there for five years and they have yet to get us a raise and this round of contact negotiations was the worst yet. And I know for a fact that there are short staffing issues in just about every department.

I made seafood quesadillas for dinner, they were good. But holy fuck...okay first off, I LOVE spicy food and hot peppers, and peppers don't usually bother me. I bought a couple of Hatch chilis to go in the quesadillas, and they were both so hot I couldn't eat them! Hatch chilis, the hot ones especially (bc there are mild Hatch peppers that are more like a bell pepper or a pepperoncini) aren't typically that hot, these were seriously like VERY potent scotch bonnets! I had to toss them both, they would've overpowered literally any dish, and I'm bummed about that. The quesadillas turned out well, but had the chilis been the right level of heat, they would've been perfect.

I took the week off exercising because I feel like shit and stuff kept going wrong, because I thought I'd feel better if I got more rest.

I feel like I got rolled down a steep hill in a spiked barrel full of stones, I haven't fixed any of the stuff I need to, and my brain may as well be a soggy sponge. So fucking tired.

Right now I'm on a HP binge and tbh I really wish there was more Draco/Pansy fic where they are actually, genuinely in love. It's all either he's evil and she's gotta save him, they're both evil, or she's the ugly shrew he despises and I'm all... can I just see a few fic where they get along and are cute as hell together in the midst of all their war and pureblood politics?

Well obviously my OTP, but hardly anyone does ANYTHING in Vagrant Story fandom nowadays. ...Just it's only me and one other person actively shipping Sydney/Hardin, and even when the fandom was active there weren't that many of us and darnit my boy Hardin is clearly so devoted and deserves pretty things and I love me some BFF shipping. :/

In fandoms that are actually active? Actually my comment on #3 today mentioned one of them. Gumshoe and Maggey in Ace Attorney. They're just so CUTE in a clumsy fumbling pure-hearted way, like a couple of bumblebees. I guess they'd be hard to write anything "sexy" with though. My few attempts at it had to be comedy, because they just can't get anything right. :D

Dirk/Todd from Dirk Gently (the recent show).

A lot of people ship Loki/Mobius, but not a lot of those people are particularly good fanfic writers. I would like more very good fanfic writers to ship Loki/Mobius.

I wish people shipped/created fan works that used the source material of adapted properties. Like the comics or books that movies and TV shows are based on. The movies/shows are always way more popular but I usually prefer the source characterization and it can be wildly different.

I have a LOT of seriously rare ships.

I'll go ahead and name Victor/Jack from St. Elsewhere because I have particular desire to remain anonymous I was just too lazy to sign in. They're not my rarest pair but I have been thinking about how well they'd suit certain tropes that are popular in other fandoms I'm in and how it's a shame I haven't got a lot of people to enthuse with.
