Same. Though by the same token, I don't think the teens of today would have survived the fandoms of old.

"I don't think the teens of today would have survived the fandoms of old." - Oooh I definitely agree. The fact that people have meltdowns over tagging alone without even reading said fanfics is hilarious when I think back to how often people just had to trust the brief summaries of fics and having to actually read them to find out what the content was.

There's so many people I come across who I'm pretty sure would not have been in the fandom in the first place back in the day due to how different technology was (Smartphones and having access to wifi 24/7 has made it infinitely easier to access fandom bases as well as keep on top of drama constantly; which is why it doesn't surprise me to see why things are LIKE THAT right now. At least back then for all the internet drama that there were pre 2010; with the main access being desktops/laptops - people usually had to leave them for a while to sleep or go to school/work, so there were long enough breaks to cool down).
