137. Why does it mean you're a bad feminist? Does wanting to wear pretty dresses somehow equate to wanting not to have rights and to be told what to do all the time? Even if you want Prince Charming to come and take you away and not to ever have to work for a living, you're only a bad feminist if you think that EVERY woman should want that and that OTHER women shouldn't have the right to work and do what they want. And I'm pretty sure you don't think that. I've been a feminist since childhood, I live alone, I don't have children and I work. And I collect bridal and prom magazines and wear long skirts and dresses all the time.

TB!1: I have never liked Mulder/Scully. I don't ship it. A lot of people in the fandom didn't ship it. IDK how things are now, but they ruined her character to make that happen and I hated it and I was not the only one.

Not the OP, but just musing--Holmes kind of is an egotistical drug addict, though to the best of my knowledge he's not an alcoholic. So... even if that really is all RDJ plays, which I know it isn't... wouldn't that logically make him the best possible choice for the role?

Sure it's fun picking them apart and seeing what makes them tick (I have my theories, too but I don't bother people with them) But to be honest, I just wanna leave my brain at the door and indulge in the mindless mayhem of a fictional metal band for 11 minutes every Sunday :3

Oh yeah... I love picking people apart like that. I love it when people have LAYERS. God knows I've been an angst addict all my life, and I do find it appealing that the guys in DK have sort of caracatured "weak" traits -- Pickles whines all the damn time, Toki is apparently bipolar and likes to be a perpetual kid, Skwisgaar throws hissy fits and is OCD and egotistical, Murderface does it even MORE, Nathan is a cross between stupid as FUCK and brilliant...

But I think their qualities like that are PERFECTLY balanced against the brutality and violence and crass humor of the rest of the show. If you had more on either end of the spectrum, it wouldn't work. As it is, it's fantastic.

I just felt as though Downtown wasn't given enough of a chance to shine before they pulled the plug on it. I mean, I know like a grand total of two people who even remember it; most people just stare blankly at me when I bring it up in conversation, even people who watched Mtv regularly back in the day.
